No health insurance for congresscritters till they pass universal health care bill. Wait, what?

Presidential hopeful (ha) John Edwards says that if he wins the election (psh) on his first day in office, he will put forth legislation to pull health care from all congresscritters until they pass his universal health care bill. Now I'm just a kid, but doesn't that seem just a wee bit hypocritical?

Now on to the meat of the matter, Universal health care. Woot.

When Grendel's mother...er...Mr. Rodham Clinton. Says she wants to tax the people who actually work for a living to provide health care to the people who don't. Basic socialized (communist) medicine. At the lowly fee of $110 billion dollars. A year. Compared to Operation Iraqi freedom and on going operations at $173 billion. Over 6 years.

So lets do some math here. Spend $110 billion a year on people who already have access to health care and democracy in general, or spend $ 288 million dollars a year granting oppressed people the mere opportunity to decide who their president will be and how the will spend their tax dollars.

But what do I know? I'm just a dumb kid.

You know you're an ass when...

You might get the inkling that you are an ass and international pariah when everybody wants to bomb you into the stone age. Including the French. Now you really have to work at getting the French riled up. Hell, Nazi Germany never accomplished that. I guess filling someone's country with irritating little Arabs who riot over a law being changed (the one that allows employers to fire incompetent workers) then building nuclear weapons might get anybody just a little up set.

Now who wants to take bets on when someone blows up Tehran?

Relentless Jackasses

What motivates politicians to constantly attempt to torpedo the sitting president? Do they really believe that strongly a war in Asia Minor really is the main concern of the government with more pressing problems? Or is it that the blue asshats think the more urgent issues at hand just aren't that important, so all focus should be on a grand scale police effort in a grand scale sandbox?

Next issue, global warming. If all the communists in congress are so worried about killing the planet with noxious BREATHING (which produces CO2) why do they jet about in Gulfsteams, travel in motorcades and buy non-organic foods. If your going to talk the talk, walk the walk you hypocritical bastards.

Communist and radical Islam countries that openly express their hate for the west (is that protected under The 1st?) armed with nukes and ICBMs and our massive trade deficit with said communist bastards should at least be a head of a war thats over and needs a little more time to finish mopping up.

Realistically, such a small percentage of the population is directly affected by our brave soldiers deployed oversees... I'm just not sure how to say "flower children that missed out on the last war trying to make good and bitch and moan extra hard to make up for it while murdering babies". Damn words escaped me again. I'll get you yet, words.

In all honesty, this post was a huge waste of key strokes. Everyone knows that the democrats aren't really concerned about the troops (or they would've OKed the next version of the Armored assault vehicle to replace the horrendously mis-assigned Humvee lots earlier). They aren't concerned about the troops families, nor the spread of liberty and democracy. They're just pandering to some new version of anti-war hippy with deep pockets and a near magical ability to rally other mentally unstable people to their cause.

"Sweat saves blood, blood saves lives, but brains saves both."
-The Last Great man to wear the other guys Uniform, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.

So, Congresscritters, lets use that wonderful collection of neurons that occupies the space atwixt your ears and give General Petraeus the funding and the equipment to finish the job.

Lets see here. What does one write in the first post...

I have now joined the ranks of the bloggers. Bane of mainstream news, politicians, and other things that don't need 70 million people's attention. I guess I should ally myself with one party or another. My beliefs are as follows:
  1. Fred Thompson should be the next president, possibly with General Petreaus as his vice (thats if he's not too busy killing terrorists and securing liberty for future Iraqi generations).
  2. Tax cuts are good for the economy.
  3. That illegal immigrants should be deported and a large barrier of some sort constructed, preferably using cruel and unusual deterrents. Like electric eels in the Rio Grande.
  4. All government bureaucracy should be cut down to skeleton crews to streamline processes and eliminate excess expenses.
  5. That the selection process for presidents if an overwhelming majority isn't won sould be put them in the (vacated) pentagon with a pistol and one bullet each. The survivor should be next President.
  6. Speaking of Survivor, people in reality shows should actually die.
Enough of that and about me:

I am a Journalism major/ political science major at Baylor University, and if you haven't figured it out I'm not liberal. I am quite the out of doors enthusiast, particularly the mountain states. I also shoot quite a bit but not on the level of the maniacal hand-loading bench rest people. I'm big on Utilitarian practices, hence the nuts and bolts (there useful objects that are easy to draw, I'm no Frank J. the artist).

I'll have mind games, surveys, and other like things posted pretty regularly. (Hat tip to Kim Du Toit).

Read and Post damn it. Topics, people, political asshats in need of satirizing...
